Proship's touch-screen interface is also equipped with device drivers for virtually all printers, scales, dimensioning equipment, programmable logic controllers, raster and optical scanners, and wireless devices.

Proship handles multiple package shipments in various ways in order to ensure optimal efficiency. Proship's built-in packstation handles a number of operations, including content verification, serial number capture, package-specific insurance, COD options, weight validation, etc. Proship also has customized labeling; it generates shipping labels, barcodes, alternate return addresses, or company logos compliant with each carrier. Additionally, its “reverse logistics” operation handles carrier return-service options.

Rate Shopping

Proship is familiar with various carrier services, options and discounts, automatically updating itself with the latest information. It chooses the best rate and service for each shipping scenario, making sure the package is delivered to the right location, at the right time, and at the best price.

Storing Data

Proship keeps an unmatched amount of data, including shipment history and interfaces for carriers to track packages from pick-up to delivery. By doing so, Proship allows customers to instantly view their orders and shipment information. Proship's various security and authentication options protect data and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA requirements. It also has Hazardous Material/Dangerous Goods support for printing of 49CFR and IATA declarations.
